Wings of Hope
Wings of Hope is an organization started by Tina Honkus in memory of her mother, Evelyn Miller. An everyday person, just like you and me, who battled melanoma and later passed away from pancreatic cancer. Tina enlisted the help of her sisters, Brenda Burnosky and Tammy Miller-Moore, and their family and friends to assist with the needs of the non-profit throughout the year.

We have operated as a non-profit for the past 13 years. Every year we organize two primary events: The annual 5k/10k Run/Walk held Easter Weekend, and the Ugly Sweater Run that kicks off the Johnstown Christmas parade. In addition, we hold various other fundraiser throughout the year. All of the funds we raise stay in our area to help people battling cancer. We help anywhere from 10 to 15 people with their financial needs per year. They can use the money toward medical expenses, travel expenses, some have even purchases wigs to help them through their chemo treatments. These families are so grateful for the assistance provided.
We also started and will continue our used tee-shirt drive to assist the Women's Help Center. We appreciate any donations received during the year to help others in our community.
Wing of Hope is a 501 3C non-profit organization.
